In the Gregorian calendar, it usually begins around November 7 and ends around November 22. This marks the first signs of oncoming winter.

“Water begins to freeze” (水始冰水始冰), Fog, drizzle, mist

“Earth begins to harden” (土乃凍土乃凍), the smell of decaying leaves

“Otters catch fish” (鴻雁來/獺祭魚鴻雁來/獺祭魚), starling murmurations begin
